윔피키드 1권~ 학교생활의 법칙

 

나는 친구들이 이 책이 재밌다고 소개해 줘서 읽게 되었다.

어느날 그레그의 어머니께서 일기장을 사주시고 그레그는 자신이 훗날 위대하고 멋진

사람이 되면 많은 사람들에게 자신의 어린시절에 대해 설명해주기 위해 일기를 쓰기 시작한다.

그레그에게는 친한 친구인 롤리가 있는데, 롤리는 둔하고 약간 멍청하다.

그레그의 가족 중에 막내 메니는 엄마, 아빠의 사랑을 듬뿍 받고, 형인 로드릭은 똥싼 기저기 라는 밴드 팀에서 활동 중 이다.

또 학교에서 농구 골대 옆에 아주 오래되고, 냄새나는 치즈가 있는데 그 치즈를 만지면 친구들이 다 피한다.

그러면 치즈를 만진 사람은 다른 사람에게 옮기는 것이다. 이 것을 '치즈 터치'라고 한다.

그리고 그레그는 학교 연극을 망치고, 단짝친구 롤리와 안전 도우미를 하면 그 활동을 하는 동안에는 수업을 듣지 않아도 되고, 아이들을 자기 마음대로 할 수 있을 거라고 생각해서 유치원 아이들 등하교를 돕는 자원봉사를 하는데 소동이 벌어지고, 자신보다 더 인기가 없다고 생각했던 단짝 친구 롤리의 만화가 학교 신문 만화에 뽑히고, 롤리의 만화 제목 'Zoo-wee Mama'라는 말이 유치하다고 생각했지만 엄청난 인기를 끌고, 여자 아이에게 레슬링에서 완패를 당한다.

 

이 책이 얼마나 재미있었는지, 읽는 내내 뒷내용이 궁금했고 한시라도 눈을 뗄 수 없었다.다소 두툼한 분량이었지만, 짧막짧막한 분량의 일기식 연재글이라서 그런지 신나게 읽었던 것 같다. 작가의 낙천적인 성격과 개성만점 스토리, 특유의 유머감각 넘치는 문장과 단순하면서도 아기자기한 흑백의 만화가 조화를 이룬 윔피키드. 재미있는 책이라 신간이 나올 때마다 기다리기도 하지만, 작가인 제프 키니가 몹시 부럽기도 하다.아기자기한 그림이 글과 절묘한 조화를 이룬 윔피키드. 언젠가 나도 나의 어린시절 이야기를 이렇게 재미난 글과 그림으로 표현해보고 싶다.

 

Wimpy Kid 1 ~ school law

My friends recommended it to me, this book is funny.

One day, Gregg's mother bought a diary to Greg. He succeeds, heexplain to many people about his childhood, so he wrote this diary.

Rowley is technically Greg's best friend, but he is dull and a little dumber.

Mom and Dad protect Manny like he's a prince or something. And Greg's older brother, Rodrick's band is called "Loaded Diaper."

There was a very old and smelly cheese in the school basketball court, someone touched the cheese, but students avoided someone.

The kid touched the Cheese with his finger, and that's what started this thing called the Cheese Touch.

And Greg screwed up in school plays.

Greg thought Rowley's comic is more boring than his, but Rowley's comic was chosen the school newspaper comics, and Greg thought Rowley's comics name, 'Zoo-Wee-Mama‘ is very childish, but his comic was very popular to students.

How much fun this book had I ever seen, I was curious in the back of the book contents and could not take my eyes off this book.

It was a little thick, but short Diary written expression series. So, I enjoyed the book so much.

Writings and cute cartoons are matched in Wimpy Kid.

Someday, I want to try express words and pictures about the story of my childhood.
