《Quantum Mechanics - The Ghost of Observation and Probability》
"Annyeonghaseyo?" (Are you at peace?) It is a fundamental greeting. Whether an acquaintance or a stranger, whoever we meet, this is the query we pose.
The response, likewise, is a reciprocal "Annyeonghaseyo?"
In our daily lives, we endlessly repeat this invocation of "Annyeong" (peace and wellness) to everyone we interact with.
Why is that? Why are we so profoundly preoccupied with keeping this word "Annyeong" constantly on our lips?
This question serves to examine whether the world of our intuition and common sense remains intact.
This is because the domain of common sense and intuition constitutes an inextricable link aligned with the very mechanics of the universe.
As we live, looking up at the sky and planting our feet firmly on the ground to comprehend this universe, our foundational basis is the world of common sense and intuition?and upon this very bedrock, the world of science and the grand edifice of civilization have been built.
Through it, we perceive everything, think upon that foundation, and enjoy our lives.
However, when the world of common sense and intuition?which should complement each other?and scientific theories collide and reveal mutual contradictions, where should we stand?
The theory of relativity tells us that the time of the world we live in shrinks and stretches. Meanwhile, quantum mechanics states that in the microscopic world, existence is a matter of uncertain probabilities.
Even those stars we look up at, they say the order of their space is warped.
At some point, the universe and truth have been intentionally convoluted and bizarrely distorted, as if locked away in a clandestine vault.
Why must the truth be so tightly concealed beyond the reach of intuition and common sense?
This book is a record of dismantling, one by one, the fortresses of sophistry erected by modern physics, and it is a proposal to restore the 'common sense' lost by science, guiding it toward a greater and truer science.
