Little read hen이 어느 날 길에서 밀 씨앗을 줍고는 그의 친구들 cat, duck, dog에게 씨앗을 심는 것을 도와달라고 부탁한다. 그러자 모두들 굉장히 바쁜 척하며 그의 부탁을 거절한다. 할 수 없이 Little red hen 혼자 씨앗을 심고, 수확을 한다. 드디어 밀을 빻아 생쥐들과 함께 빵을 만드는데, 빵이 모두 완성되고 나자 그간 바쁜 척만 하던 cat, duck, dog이 빵을 먹겠다고 한다. little red hen은 빵은 일을 도와준 생쥐들과 나눠먹을 거리고 단호하게 말한다. Ready, action!에서는 원작과 달리 거북이 리포터가 나와 이야기를 인터뷰 형식으로 진행시킨다. 또 생쥐 두 마리가 등장하여 극이 한층 재미있게 표현된다.

Little red hen one day finds a mill seed and asks her friends, cat, duck, and dog to help her plant it. But they all pretend to be very busy and say no. So with no choice, Little red hen plants the seeds and harvests them by herself. Finally she makes bread and the mice help finish the job. As the bread is finished the cat, duck, and dog wants to eat the bread. But Little red hen firmly says she will share the bread only with the mice who helped her. Unlike the original story, in Ready, Action! a turtle reporter tells the story like an interview. Also two mice are added to add more fun.
