세틀코리아 영어교육연구소 대표다. 웨스턴 워싱턴 주립대에서 General Studies & TESOL을 전공, 정치학을 부전공하고 동 대학에서 TESOL 자격증과 워싱턴주 ESL 교사자격을 취득했다. 연세대학교 교육대학원 영어교육전공 석사학위를 받았으며, 연세대학교 일반대학원 인지과학협동과정(영어교육) 박사과정에 있다.
주요 저서로는 『영어몰입교육, 어떻게 준비할까? 』(삼호미디어), 분당 A어학원 초등 원어민 전담 프로그램인 「Skill bags」시리즈, McGraw-Hill ㆍ GEM의 「Grammar Kit」시리즈, U CAN Public의 「Graphic Reading」시리즈, Scholastic ㆍ Eplis의 「The Magic School Bus Practice Book」시리즈 등이 있다. 그 밖에도 래러비러닝 스킬 별 ELT 교재 등 80여종, 아발론 교육/랭콘잉글리쉬 영어몰입교재 등 100여 종을 비롯하여 서울 다수 어학원의 커리큘럼, 교재, 부교재를 개발했다. 수도권 주요 대학 교양 영어 교재 [University English] Project Editor를 역임했고, 현재 교사교육가, 커리큘럼 개발자, 교육 칼럼니스트 등 영어교육전문가로 왕성히 활동 중이다.

Graphic Reading is a new, innovative reading and information-organizing skill building series which strengthens both receptive and productive skills.
Graphic Reading has been designed based on the similarities betweene how brains process and organize information, and how graphic organizers process and organize information. The Graphic Reading series has been written with the purpose of making language teaching more effective, language learning easier, content more accessible for students.

SCHOOL TEST PREP focuses on minor details, requiring students to understand vocabulary, expressions, grammar, and structure. Attention to minor details helps students' learning in a bottom up process.
